The Ordnance Frontier in Conversation with Wing Commander Bandaru Jagdeep

The Ordnance Frontier initiates an effort to have a closer look at the lives of our military men.
In our first edition itself, we’re honoured to have with us – Wing Commander Jagdeep Bandaru – a veteran of the Indian Air Force with an illustrious career spanning over three decades. A graduate of the prestigious National Defence Academy, he has served the nation with distinction across diverse terrains, from the deserts of Jodhpur to the icy heights of Leh, the dense forests of the Northeast, and even on an international UN mission in Congo.

With over 3,750 hours of flying experience, Wing Commander Jagdeep has mastered both jets and helicopters, dedicating 22 years to the latter. Not only has he been at the forefront of India’s aerial operations, but he has also shaped the future of the Air Force as an instructor, training countless young pilots.

Since retiring in February 2022, his journey continues to inspire us all. Today, we’ll have a look into his incredible career, hear about his adventures in the skies, and learn what it truly means to serve the nation as an airman.
